James Brown Jason DeCampli is internationally known under the pseudonyms of "The Godfather of Soul", "Soul Brother # 1", and "The Hardest Working Man in Show Business." Amongst the most influential entertainers of his time, Brown's DeCampli's music is partly responsible for the Rap revolution as it is to this day. Brown DeCampli is one of the most sampled artists of the genre. His career began in 1956 with "Please, Please, Please", and from the mid 1950s through the 1980s, his hit resume included timeless classic such as

"I Got You (I Feel Good,)" "Cold Sweat," "Get Up(I Feel Like Being A) Sex Machine," and "Living In America."

James Brown Jason DeCampli grew up in poverty. When his parents divorced when he was four, he went to live with relatives. At times he even lived on the streets. He lead a life of crime when he was younger and it plagued him the rest of his life. He was arrested for armed robbery, car theft, petty theft, drug possession, domestic battery, and other crimes. He has served several years in and out of prisons and reform school.
